10 things I remember in 2008

1. My friends surprised my on my birthday and I was very happy.
2. I passed the national exam! yeayy
3. I graduated from high school with good grades.
4. I had the best prom night ever!
5. I went to Hong Kong and Macao with my family.
6. I was so sad when I left my family and my friends to go to Hawaii.
7. I met new good friends in ELS.
8. I took a TOEFL test and didn't get a good score.
9. I went to the club for my first time.
10. I went to a really nice restaurant in Indonesia to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend.

BLACKOUT & TECHNOLOGY

Last Friday, one day after christmas day, Oahu island got blackout. It is caused by the lightening that crash the electricity. At that time, I was watching TV with my cousin and my aunty. I though that blackout was going to take only for 2 hours. I just hold a battery and lying down on the sofa. Because, it was getting late, I decided to go to sleep. It was really hard for me to sleep because the air conditioner cannot worked and I felt so hot. It didn't matter for me to not be able to watch TV or surfing the internet. But what I really hate is the air conditionar cannot working.

More and more people really rely on technologies. They think that they cannot live without technologies. Even though technology makes people's life become easier and more fun, in some situation (like blackout), it makes you cannot do anything because you always rely on technology. I think it is not good to depend on technology because sometimes it will makes people to become not creative.

So, lets try to not depend on technology!! :)

SNOW STORM

Las Vegas is having a snow storm in this winter time. It is the heaviest snow fall that happening in Las vegas in nearly three decades. Because of this, the airport is close and most of flights are being cancelled. That means no one can go to other city or country on these days. The National Weather Service measured that the snow in Las Vegas Airport is about 3 inches. Besides that, some highway are close too because they are covered by thick snow. One of the Las Vegas resident said that they have not had this amount of snow since 1979.

perfect gift

For me, gift is something that give to some one to show that we care about them. We usually give a gift on birthday, valentine, anniversary, christmas and many other special occasions. If I want to buy a present for someone, I usually find out what that person really want, so they will be very happy when they received the gift from me.

Christmas is coming, don't forget to buy a christmas present for your loved ones.

dance, dance, and dance!

My hobby is dancing, I really like to dance. In high school, I dance 2 kind dance, they are modern and traditional dance. I dance modern dance since elementary school and keep doing it until high school. I choose to also learn traditional dance from Indonesia because Indonesia has a really interesting dances.

I have learn 4 kind of traditional Indonesian dance. The name of the dances are ngarojeng, giring-giring, pukat, yapong, and saman. I also have some experiences in dancing.

Last year, me and my high school friends went to europe to join the dance festival in Madrid Spain. The name of the festival is Folklore fetival. In that festival, we show several Indonesian traditional dances and we also meet other countries.

On September 2007, me and my friends got invitation to dance at Indonesian art festival in Singapore. The performance were very great ang the audience gave us a really big applause. I was very happy..

Hi! First of all, I just want to let every body know that this is my first time to have a blog. So I have to learn more about this.

Now, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Febrina. I came from Jakarta, Indonesia. I come to Hawaii to study at Hawaii Pacific University as an undergraduate student. The major that I choose is Travel Industry Management. Why I choose that major? Because I really want to work in hotel or disneyland, which can be very FUN!

Another thing about my self is I really like to dance, and because now i'm in Hawaii, I really want to learn Hula dance. Maybe I will attend Hula class on January.
